February 8th: What is a Lep?
February 15th: Introduction to the Scientific Process: Larvae and host plant experiment
March 15th: How to Make a Specimen Label and the Name Game: Why are data and collections important?
March 22nd: Photo Field-trip to Desert Botanical Gardens: Understanding butterfly/plant host relationships.
April 5th ID Lab: Using augmented reality butterflies in observing specific traits and Lep identification.
Module II:
April 26th-Introduction to LepNet/LepSnap
May 10th-Working with Lep data in Symbiota
May 17th-Mounting butterflies and moths with Sangmi Lee
May 23rd/June 7th-Creating a 5 minute Lep Lesson
June 14th-Scientific Presentations-Teaching Lab
June 21st-Lep-Ardy Championships! Teams compete to see who will take home the championship as a Lep expert!
LepSnap/Digitization Open Labs to be announced
Awarding of LepXplor Certificates
Lab Certification
On the completion of program students will receive certification verifying completion of lab hours which can be used for credits in higher education. Go here to see ASU requirements

LepXplor Ambassador Program: Students who complete at least one module can apply for the LepXplor Ambassador program as community educators. Graduates of the LepXplor program will apply what learned by becoming scientific educators to marginalized groups in the community. Students learn best when they teach!
