LightningBug

LightningBug is a robotic-informatics system designed to digitally reconstruct insect labels and capture full 3D image suites of insect specimens. This technology will enable entomology collections to mobilize biodiversity data from over 500 million specimens stored in museums and collections around the world, making the data available for exploring global change impacts on insects.
